Fake Tree

We're thinking of going fake this year, gasp.. I don't know if I can handle it :)

We did. :( It was a hand-me-down and it's pre-lit. But there was enough swearing and frustration involved setting it up so I'm glad we skipped the real one in the end.

At first I thought I would never have a fake tree because I love the smell that a real tree sends throughout the house. It sends the message that it is the holiday time, however when you're pregnant and cannot go and cut one down, a fake one works out great! Plus, the clean up is easier.

A few years ago I VERY reluctantly got a fake tree. Although I do sort of miss a real tree (mainly the smell), I DO NOT miss the: constant vacuuming of fallen needles, watering the tree, more fallen needles when I undecorate the tree, and having to figure out how to dispose of the tree. I am now a convert...oh, and a Mistletoe candle by Yankee candle gives you the same smell as a real tree:)
