Beautiful Meghan

So I was saying, my gorgeous new neice Meghan made her grand entrance into the world this morning at about 4am. My brother called and Schmoop and I took off to see her.
We had to make a stop so Aunt Dirkey could be adequately prepared

We got there and I saw my new niece, she is soo precious! She didn't do much but sleep while I was there, but hey she was only a few hours old so she was probably tired from being born and all.

We got to see my Gracie as well, here she is playing with her "Big Sister" present.

ww week 11

So this week I changed WI days from WIW (Weigh in Wednesdays) to WIF(Weigh in Fridays) There are a few reasons for this. First i didn't want people to get WIW confused with WOW (the thing where girls flash people on Wednesdays). Mostly because i use my weekly points (my extra's)on the weekends. So I have the whole week to stay on point and maybe it will be a more accurate gauge.
This week went pretty well. I lost .5 lbs(as of Wed), which is not that much but hey at least its in the right direction. I also found out that I have been counting wrong.
Dunkaroos are 3 pts not 2 points. I've been using them as my sweet treat, alot. No more they are not worth it. So this week I'm not taking anything for granted I'm plugging things in to find out the point value. Hopefully next week will show a good loss!

Good Friday Night

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS CHILD?!!??!?!

He's been forced to live in Minnesota, I know its horrible. I hear he tried to escape with the help of my Navy Seal neice but he got caught and sent back because he was so short.

I know what your thinking, and trust me I've told them living in Minnesota is like some sort of chid abuse. But they don't listen, and they spin the poor kid into submission.. Look at him, the will to fight and be sarcastic has completely left him. At least he is still adorable.

Would you eat it? Givrees Sorbets 2 pts

I saw these in Trader Joes and had to try them for, oh so many reasons. First of all they are made in France, and I think France gets a bad rep sometimes. Granted the only real experience I've had with the French was filled with Crepes, Wine, Champagne, Cheese, Wine, Champagne, Baguettes, Wine and Champagne; pair that with the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Arch de Triumphe and two Schmoops and you have yourself a good time.

(schmoop and I eating crepes at sunset on Valentines day beside the Eiffel Tower)
So this post is my Thanks to the French for showing me a good time.
These sorbets are incredible, they take real fruits and empty them out and fill them with sorbet.

(Go suck a lemon)
I like these because they are in real fruit rinds (I got orange and lemon) so it makes it easy to play with your food when your done. Two thumbs up for taste and packaging! If I could afford it I would keep my freezer stocked but they are a bit pricey (like 1.25 a piece). If you keep one of each of these in your freezer you never have to worry about getting stuck without lemon or orange rind while cooking (which happened to me with my pies.) You also can keep any kids that show up at yourself occupied for awhile.

Get in the kitchen and make me some pie!

So I like to bake, the past few weekends I've been on a pie kick. Here is a pic of some of my latest creations and my big sweaty forehead. :)
yeah you know those crusts are homemade..

So this week I am down 1.5 lbs! :)

Would you eat it? Carmel Apple Salad 2pts

Looks like vomit doesn't it.
Well its not, its sooo good! If I make it for some picnic or something please mistake it for puke so I can eat it all! Ok now I'm not hungry anymore.

Carmel Apple Salad-I didn't make it up
8oz Fat Free Cool Whip
20oz Crushed Pineapple (with juice)
package of sugar free fat free butterscotch pudding
2 granny apples sliced and diced
Mix all together and one cup equals two points.

and you wonder why i love them

Here is a picture of two of my favorite people, Mason and Jason. Isn't it convenient thier names rhyme, so if I ever wanted to I could make a cute poem. If I did you can bet that I'm not going to post it :), come on now there is only so much public embarrassment one girl can take (seriously have you seen my weekly pictures). I get to spend Saturday we these two cuties! I'm a lucky lucky girl

WW week 9-2 month mark

So I lost 1 lb this week, for a total of 17.5 (really a little above 20 because of the change in scales). I actually had a more difficult time this week than I did when i was in Memphis because i was a little "emotional". And by "emotional" I mean I was in full fledged give me chocolate mode this weekend and during this "emotional" time I went to Dan Z.'s birthday party. Normally this would be ok but my friend Meg made some incredible homemade brownies (my weakness), homemade blueberry pie, carrot cake... well you get the drift. I didn't go over my weekly points but I came closer than I ever had. So I'm really proud of that one pound!!
And here's the picture

and to compare here is the before

WW week 8

Ok I completely lied, I lost 5. Weighed myself last Wednesday and I lost 2 but then on Thursday I lost 3 more. So a total of 5 last week! Sweet!!! Makes that 5lb gain of last week not sooo incredibly horrible!!
My ww pic of this week will be of Schmoop and I on our carriage ride through Memphis, look at how ghetto chachki our carriage was. It was incredible!! :)

Just you wait

We went to Graceland, BB Kings, and on a carriage ride yesterday. Couldn't blog it last night because Ramada is stupid.
Today we are going to IHOP, back to Sun Studio's and then to the Peabody ducks. Then we are going back to Jersey to see some fireworks. SWEET!!
Have a great fourth of July!

The best fried chicken in the world!

As per USA Today, GQ and the driver of the Duck.

For lunch today we went to Gus's for Fried Chicken. I had a two piece Fried Chicken meal, Schmoop did too.. I'm not big on Fried Chicken but this stuff was INCREDIBLE!!

Beware we have invaded

Sun Studio's

This was quite possibly one of the best parts of Memphis for me. Standing in the same spot where some of my favorite artists recorded music history..
The building

Jason getting ready to change music history

Standing in the same spot where Elvis recorded his first hit!

Just waiting on the contract now, any day... any day...
by the way this is the same microphone that Elvis, Johny Cash, BB King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Ike Turner, Rufus Thomas and Howlin Wolf all sang into..

Where to go if your looking for a red headed boyfriend

If I had only known I wouldn't have waited 27 years for mine.

Only half as evil

mmmm pig

There are a few things that the South does well, one of them being bbq, the other one being cole slaw. Jersey shouldn't attempt either of these. If you disagree with this, you need to order some cole slaw from a diner in Jersey at two in the morning and then get back to me. People should need to travel for the real thing and maybe see Graceland, also maybe to get themselves some dress up Elvis magnets... Well anyway we found some good eats on Beale St tonight at the Rum Boogie Cafe.
Jasons order of ribs, i think they were bigger than his own ribs..

I love me some carnivores

Aftermath

yes we are those people

That is all

Six Months

My how things have changed. Its been six months since Schmoop and I have started dating. We have done sooo much in six months its insane. Our trip to Europe, landing in Paris on Valentines Day then going to Switzerland and Germany. Camping in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, one of the most gorgeous places on Earth. We have gone to a ball(just like Cinderella). We have gone to see BB King and Collective Soul in concert. We are in the beginning of a trip to Memphis right now. Its not just the trips and the neat things we do though, those are just fun extra's.
I have fallen in love for the first time in my life. My breath catches every time I see him or he kisses me. I'm content to just stare in his eyes for hours. I feel so safe when he has his arms around me. Sometimes the enormity of it overwhelms me. My love for him so deep that I can't even comprehend it.
So here is to our future together; a lifetime of love, laughter and honesty. I love you with all of my heart, and I thank the Lord every day that He has given me such a wonderful kind man. You inspire me to be a better person.
