Here is a great article about how, as Christians, we should be looking at the outcome of this election.
Thats about as much as you'll get out of me, I try not to go to far into politics with people I don't know and most of the time even with people I do know. I will be praying for our future president the same as I pray for the current one and I encourage you all to do the same. I will enjoy the blessed silence of all the political ads!

Well said by both you and the pastor. It's easy for us to pray for what WE want to happen and to forget about the sovereignty of God and to remember that He is ultimately in driver's seat. This past week I heard someone pray that McCain would get the votes to win and it was at that moment that God reminded me of what I should be praying for...His will to be done (even if that is not what I think it should be). So that's how I prayed the rest of the week, including through the evening last night. So today, I just keep reminding myself that it's God's will not my will and I can't possibly understand what the plans are that He has for us or our next president. I will be praying alongside you, Dirkey!
Thanks for the reminder!
**An interesting side note-- that's Rick Lawrenson's blog, right? I have never read his before, but when I clicked on the link, I immediately recognized the pic-- it's the town I grew up in! :)
