Tackle it Tuesday-Tallented Husband

Our dining room needed some help. But my wonderful hubby installed an awesome lighting fixture (we had a ghetto 80's gold thing blech). We got a new china cabinet, I still have to get the glass for the sides on it but I love it!

Update on Tackle It Tuesday

Sooo I got home and finished the living room and also made my husband a wonderful meal.


I made roasted potatoes, boneless pork, and asparagus
I took red potatoes and cut them into about 1" pieces, drizzled olive oil over them, and then used my spices very liberally (paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, italian seasoning, etc)
The pork I just dusted with black pepper and Ono seas.oning (a seasoning I got in Hawaii).

For dessert just some fruit with whipped cream on top.

As far as the house, here is the before pic on the living room


and after the addition of a new sectional sofa (thanks Kim!!) and some serious cleaning.



as far as for the dining room here is our old dining room set, which was functional (and free! Thanks Don and Josie!!!) but not really our style.

and here is our new one(Thanks Aunt Sara!), so nice!! Don't mind the stuff on the table, I haven't organized that room yet!!

Tackle It Tuesday

Tonight when I get home, I am going to finish the living room and also finish putting away my laundry.
Schmoop and I have about 7 loads of laundry we just did and they need to be put away. The living room is quite a fiasco with picture frames and various things unpacked all over the place. I kind of don't know what to do with everything until we paint downstairs and can hang up the frames. But I am going to put them in the spare bedroom closet for now and just pick up and vacuum in there tonight so its nice. I also am making a nice dinner for my Schmoop since he is going away tomorrow. :)

so my tackle it Tuesday is the same as last week with my living room got sidetracked with the Miss Olivia thing, but also its to get the foot of water out of our basement.. Well actuallly Schmoop is working on that cause he's awesome.

Tackle it Tuesday

I'm putting my tackle it tuesday up and will put up pics when I get home.
I just moved over the rest of my stuff from Josh and Renee's yesterday and I'm excited to get it all organized and away. Part of that organization is going through all my stuff and put more than half of it in the yard sale/thrift store pile.
So I give myself one week to accomplish this.
