Crap Shot-Wordless Wednesday

I was reading The Shutter Sisters today and they were talking about Crap Shots. According to them a Crap Shots are those shots that wouldn't necessarily win an award, but that help you save an important story. So in the spirit of Wordless Wednesday and Crap Shots I give you:

The Wedding Dance
Yes the lighting wasn't good and I was far away but I just love this shot for the way they are looking at each other and how they are surrounded by family who are wishing them the best. Yes its not the best shot but I do love it.

Weekend Update Pt 2- The Wedding in Pictures A very wordy wordless Wednesday

So I mentioned before I went to my cousins wedding this weekend. It was a pretty classy wedding but you never know what will happen when you invite the family Dirkey to something classy, its very possible you might get this
more than likely you will get this.. yes its my mother swearing that she's only had two drinks... yeah.. as my cousin Kate said "were those two drinks, two bottles of vodka?!"
As is the case most times, the hubs and I took the oportunity to look ridiculously cute and in love (you can just call me squinty!)
My nephew Mason and his idol, Jason a.k.a. the hubs taking adorableness to a whole new level
It was great to see family that I don't normally see; my uncle, aunt and cuz from Colorado. I absolutely adore my cuz, and want to invent some type of tube that would connect Jerzy and Colorado so I could see her more or have her to dinner.
Yes, yes I lost track so we were at a wedding. The bridesmaid dresses were adorable, the church was awesome. Here is a pic of the girls walking down with an extra bonus of my moms camera
I've mentioned before that the hubs is a twin, but I'm surrounded by them here is my aunt the Mother of the Bride (looking absolutely stunning) being escorted by her twin brother.
Ahh the most important people in attendance my cousin, the gorgeous bride and the very very lucky groom. May they always look at each other like this.
Then on to the party it was held at the Larchmont Yacht Club which was just beautiful and very fitting to a cousin who has always had a love of water and sailing.

We were all treated to a full moon over the water. It really was a gorgeous day all around.

Schmoop said of this picture...
Mason looks like he’s thinking “This is the absolute biggest smile that anybody has ever smiled in the history of smiling! If I smile any bigger my head will explode.” I agree. :)

We're Done!

So we've been married 5 days short of two months and we have our thank you notes done for the wedding! Our friends and family have always been so generous to us so we wanted to make sure they knew how much we appreciated it! I'm so happy that we have FINALLY FINISHED THEM! It was such a daunting task, there were about 100 cards we had to write!!

Bridezilla

So last night I had a crazy dream.
I dreamt that we got to the reception site (which in my dream was also where the wedding was) and couldn't find the room. It took us like a half hour to find it and when we did find it the woman was like, I thought you weren't coming so I gave away the chairs. I went Bridezilla on her and freaked out saying that she had 10 minutes to find 200 chairs! Then I couldn't find any of my bridesmaids to help me get ready so my brother in law Wayne had to help me.
Man I can't wait for the wedding....

Crazy Lazy

Man I'm sitting at work having a hard time keeping my eyes open. I was babysitting for some friends last night and didn't get home till about 12:30 AM.
Yesterday after work I went to Target and used some of my bridal shower loot to buy bedding for my spair room. I ended up getting bedding, curtains and a cool curtain rod! Jason just laughed at me, he says I'm spending alot of money on an unused room. I'm excited to have one room completely done though and this is the room that is closest to it. Our room we're going to have to buy some pricey things so that may have to wait to be completely done and there is alot of stuff downstairs that still needs doing. So this one room, will be my little sanctuary of doneness. Everytime I get frustrated at the lack of progress or anything I can go up there and sit in my pretty, complete spair bedroom and know that its going to be ok; one day we will have the whole house done.
So here is the picture of the bedding, and the room is painted a Bonsai green color so you can get the mental picture. The curtains were just tab top white ones.

Still working on the thank you's, picked out my hair style, still have to do seating chart. I meet with alot of the vendors next week to finalize everything. Its coming up so quickly, I can't even believe it!!!

So you are all dying to know...

I started weight watchers last week and was very good till Saturday. My brother took schmoop and I out to a very nice Spanish restaurant up in Newark (the only good thing about Newark according to my brother is this restaurant). Well my brother insisted on appetizers, main course, dessert and drinks; and I think I did decent that day. Then Sunday came along and I had my sister and her family, my two brothers and thier families, my other sister, my parents, and Schmoop's dad over; we had 13 guests in our house. I made two roasts in two slow cookers (thanks to my future MIL for my spare crock pots) and did fairly well with lunch, except I made a cake for my brothers birthday and I had a slice of that and some dump cake. After that Schmoop and I cleaned and headed over to my brothers house for a new years party and I grubbed. They had that spinach dip with the pumpernickle bread, I love that stuff. Then they had water chestnuts wrapped in bacon and covered in bbq sauce, soo good. Since then I wasn't paying too much attention to my points but I have been making an effort to be more active and eat better. Well I went to the meeting yesterday and I lost two.. Whew!! Now I know that this week isn't the poster week of model WW behaviour but I'm happy I lost. I'm excited to be good and on track this week too now that the holidays are all behind me!
Also I picked up my wedding dress with Mama K and Lisa on Tuesday, I love it. It was sooo cool to have the whole package together, wedding dress, shoes, veil, tiara, jewelry; its like its really happening now. :) Yesterday we got some engagement pics done and we also picked up our unity candle. Have to get our cake topper still and address invitations soon! Other than that things are going great! We tied all the ribbons on the bubbles the other day, got all the bridesmaids jewelry and gifts, going to pick up stamps today. They have Hershey kiss stamps out this year!!! I'm so happy that even the stamps fit our little theme!!!

Back to the drawing board

Soo if you're a long time reader here you know I struggle with my weight and am an avid Weight watchers supporter. I lost a bunch on weight watchers a few years ago but broke my ankle (not an excuse just what happened) and gained alot back. I've been on Weight Watchers online since May and have done ok but recently I haven't really been following the program. I decided this morning that I need these meetings, so I will be going back this coming Wednesday to the meetings. So this blog is now a weight loss, wedding planning, house finishing, crazy life blog now. I'm thinking of starting an underwater basket weaving bloggers circle too if anyone wants to join.

Quiet on the site...

Sorry I've been so quiet this week, we've been kind of busy. Since Sat we have booked the reception site and its official, WE ARE GETTING MARRIED ON ST. PATRICKS DAY!!!!
So exciting!!
Also we've been unpacking like crazy, the house is starting to slowly look like a home. I'm amazed that I have found all of my kitchen stuff and there is a place for it! WHO KNEW!?!?!
We also got our Christmas tree and decorated the house for Christmas! :)
Here is the first post of the inside of our house, this is the first fire we have lit. I loved it, and can't wait to do it again! :)

if you look closely you can see our Veggie Tales Nativity set with Elvis Angel singing over little baby Jesus carrot.

Pictures... :)

So I was sitting here thinking of my Gels, so I went to check out her myspace and I found this..

and it made me smile.
Even though it kinda hurt me when she didn't wear my gift down the aisle, I can see now that she DID like it.
